Optimised and patented water and soil-repellent finishing

Over millions of years nature has developed unique solutions to the many differing requirements. Today science uses the natural concepts of development and transfers them into fascinating technical applications. This method is focused in the term Bionic. With BIONIC-FINISH®-RUDOLF we have developed a unique, patented system for rendering textiles water-repellent or water, oil and soil-repellent. In contrast to the conventional technology we make use of the self-organisation of star-like branched polymers (so-called dendrimers). The result is the worldwide unique and complete fibre protection system, from industrial textile finishing (in flock, yarn, piece or garment) to home textile care.

The entirely fluorocarbon-free BIONIC-FINISH®ECO will open up new perspectives to the clothing sector. With BIONIC-FINISH®ECO we have succeeded in developing water-repellent finishes that do NOT release fluoroorganic compounds.

Hydrophobic and hydrophilic properties combined in one textile

The customer decides. Success in selling is only achieved by textile functions that the customer regards as advantageous.

The water and soil-repellent as well as moisture-transporting finish of textiles has clearly found acceptance in the market. A combination of both effects has so far only been possible by combining two differently finished fabric plies. The disadvantages of this procedure are higher weight and a lack of flexibility of the made-up article.

New product and process developments at RUDOLF enable the combination of both effects on one textile quality and a significant weight reduction with, simultaneously, improved flexibility.

Total-Wear-Comfort with Cooling-Down Effect

SILURAN® is not only the family brand for a new type of textile finishing, but also the name for the patented technology on which it is based. The hydrophilic properties of a modified polyurethane segment and the softness of a silicone are combined in ®RUCO-PUR SEC to form a new type of functional finish. The name composed of SILicone and PolyURethANe results in the new performance class SILURAN®.

Hygiene + freshness based on silver

Who is not familiar with it - textiles and shoes, especially when made of synthetics, start developing unpleasant odours after only a short period of use. Stop it once and for all with SILVERPLUS®, the best and most innovative solution to this problem. Body moisture and warmth in textiles are the ideal biosphere for bacteria. Bacteria exploit the organic content of the body moisture generated. The degradation products of this exploitation are associated with unpleasant odours. SILVERPLUS® silver ions from a virtually infinite reservoir counteract this odour formation.

SILVERPLUS® ensures hygiene and freshness. Moreover, the concentrate RUCO-BAC AGP as well as the economic version RUCO-BAC AGL have been registered on the Oeko-Tex list (www.oeko-tex.com) and thus comply with Oeko-Tex Standard 100. The concentrate RUCO-BAC EPA CONC as well as the economic version RUCO-BAC EPA contain an EPA*-registered anti-bacterial active ingredient for finishing textiles for the import into the USA.
