RUCOSTAR® is the product line for the conversion of the BIONIC-idea.


Dendrimer build-up and growth

The basic idea of ®RUCOSTAR EEE is, that RUCOSTAR®-dendrimers were developed, that actively enrich the fluorocarbon polymer at the interface and force it to co-crystallize. In this way a self-organisation of the total system according to nature is obtained. The portion of fluorocarbon polmyer can be reduced by 50 % and at the same time the effects are improved. In this way lower costs and less environmental pollution with durable compounds are possible. With ®RUCOSTAR EEE higher oil and water-repellent effects are possible than with the same amount of conventional fluorocarbon resins. Other characteristics of this product group are good wash resistance and soft handle effects.

The effect of this finish is based on a self-organisation process. Therefore, high amounts of disturbing substances on the textile, e. g. residual surfactants etc., or the simultaneous application of silicones with a high amount of emulsifier may have a negative influence on the self-organisational process.
