Hybrids are the combination of different types of processes with improved properties. RUCOFIN TWO is a hybrid-silicone softener with two complementary functions. Hybrid structures combine the excellent hydrophilic handle properties and process stability of quaternary silicones with extraordinary high dyestuff fixation power in direct or reactive dyeings.

Hybrid advantage 1: wash-durable hydrophilic soft handle

Due to the special feature of hybrid silicones to be able to strongly embed in substrates, the durability to washing in home laundering of RUCOFIN TWO opens up new dimensions.

In contrast to conventional systems (example: amino-functional silicone) the number of binding points (due to the numerous quaternary functions) to the substrate is increased to a maximum.

Comparison of finishing costs per kg knitwear

Cellulosic fibres have a natural negative charge, which is distinctly increased by optical brighteners and dyes. This does not only fix the dyestuff, but, simultaneously, increases the silicones‘ durability to washing.

Due to the high affinity for the fibre, pay attention to an increased liquor pick-up, as with conventional aftertreatment processes in the padder, which can be obtained by divider inserts or short-liquor troughs.
