Pilling from fibres

Who has not yet made the experience that a new sweater becomes unsightly after having been worn once, because many small fibre pills have formed on its surface. Either the pills come off after further use or they stick to the surface and cause an unsightly fabric appearance. Only a special blade or brush for fuzz can help the end-user.

What is snagging?

Another disturbing appearance, which may arise when wearing or using textiles made from filament fibres, is the so-called snagging. Snagging arises when getting caught on sharp spots or objects and becomes visible by pulled threads on the surface of wovens or knit goods. Pulled threads are loops of different size.
