Extremely suitable for varnish formulations

Coatings are often additionally crosslinked to improve their performance characteristics. The anionic type RUCOPUD B-FX 21 (40%) as well as the non-ionic RUCOPUD B-FX 41 (40%) is used as formaldehyde-free crosslinking components for aqueous polymeric dispersions of polyurethanes, polyacrylates or polyvinyl acetates. *)

Moreover, RUCOPUD B-FX 21 and RUCOPUD B-FX 41 are suitable boosters for non-ionic or anionic fluorocarbon water-repellent agents (acrylate or PU types).

  • RUCOPUD B-FX 21 is a state-of-the-art multi-functional, anionic, aliphatic, blocked isocyanate crosslinking agent. The deblocking temperature is ca. 140° - 170°C.
  • RUCOPUD B-FX 41 is a non-ionic, aliphatic, blocked isocyanate crosslinking agent. The deblocking temperature is ca. 130° - 170° C.

In contrast to the majority of well-known types, RUCOPUD B-FX 21 and RUCOPUD B-FX 41 are free of N-methylene-2-pyrrolidone (NMP), butanone oxime and formaldehyde. Thermal activation deblocks and initiates the crosslinking effect.

The blocked isocyanates RUCOPUD B-FX 21 and RUCOPUD B-FX 41 enable the manufacture of stable product formulations as well as pot-life-free recipes.
